The opportunity to build skills and confidence is at the heart of the Performing Arts programme. Music, art and drama play a large part in the life of the School and it is a common sight on campus to see musical instruments and rugby boots in the same bag. The School aims to strike a balance between providing a core experience for all boys and offering extension for those with the skill and desire to make performance a larger part of their development.
An extensive itinerant music teaching programme provides players wit the skills to audition for a variety of orchestras and bands, while for those with a desire to sing, the All Comers and Performers Choirs offer large, enthusiastic and accomplished forums for choral music.
A biennial Arts Festival gives each and every boy in the School the opportunity to perform on stage, building on the tuition received within classroom programmes. In alternate years, the School stages a major production for which parts are auditioned and high standards share the stage with enjoyment and fun.
